Feed 400 families each week at the Sunday Shelf in Puebla
Manuel runs a volunteer pantry feeding 400 families; this fund restocks shelves for the rainy season.

Since 2021, our volunteer team has run the Sunday Shelf every Saturday from the back of a community center. We started with 9 families, and now we feed 400 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 43% this rainy season, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 19 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Puebla market and keep every receipt.
Each $15 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $1,000 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $420
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $330
• Baby formula and diapers: $130
• Refrigeration and electricity: $120
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

take care. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.
Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Thinking of Puebla.
Thinking of you and your family, Manuel. Great idea, hope you get there. All the best.
Keep going, Manuel. Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. Please keep us posted.
best of luck. Gave what I could, wish it was more. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double
