Care for John, 78: help cover a carer and medication in Dar es Salaam

I'm caring for me, who's 78. After worsening Parkinson's disease John can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and John desperately wants to stay at home. I work 30 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer. John worked all of his life as a farmer, and raised 3 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back. Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for three months will make a huge difference. Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies. Where the $450 goes: • Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $30 • Medication and prescriptions: $60 • Part-time carer (three months): $360 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
