Emergency vet bill for Oscar in Soweto
Oscar, Siyabonga's senior cat, needs urgent treatment for severe tick fever costing $600.

Oscar is my senior cat of six years. On 15 December we rushed to the Soweto Emergency Vet Clinic with severe tick fever. The vet recommends an operation to remove the blockage, and the estimate came to $600.
They have stabilized Oscar, but the treatment can't wait beyond February.
Oscar is more than a pet - Oscar is the reason I get out of bed. I have already put $80 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
Funds will be paid straight to the Soweto Emergency Vet Clinic and I'll share the invoice and an update on Oscar's recovery.
Where the $600 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $320
• Hospitalization (3 nights): $120
• Medication and follow-up visits: $75
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $85
