I'm caring for my father, who's 83. After worsening Parkinson's disease Héctor can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Héctor desperately wants to stay at home. I work 25 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer. Héctor worked all of his life as a nurse, and raised 4 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back. Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for six months will make a huge difference. Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies. Where the $2,550 goes: • Part-time carer (six months): $1,850 • Medication and prescriptions: $380 • Hospital bed and mattress rental: $110 • Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $210 Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
