I coordinate donations at Acacia Women's Shelter in Manila. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled.
We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes kids' 3 to 5 and women's S-L. If you're in Manila, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Acacia Women's Shelter on Thursday between 10am and 4pm.
If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate.
Items go to families directly and the rest to the Acacia Women's Shelter clothing bank, which is open to everyone.
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Sending good thoughts, Jomar. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double.
I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Please keep us posted. Greetings from Rawalpindi.
hope it all works out, Jomar. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Thinking of Manila

Stay strong. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. Put this on a community board in Moscow this morning. Love from Moscow
thinking of you and your family, Jomar. Looking forward to the next update. After 29 years in customer support I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
