For three years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 9 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Unity Park, but no funding. We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $3,050. It will serve about 166 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $3,050 goes: • Materials: $2,200 • Tools hire and delivery: $480 • Safety equipment and signage: $370 Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.
