Walid's final semester of a degree in social work in Riyadh
Walid is one semester away from finishing a degree in social work but is blocked from enrolling by an unpaid balance of $3,850.

I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a degree in social work at Riyadh Community College, and I'm one semester away from graduating. I have worked as a shop assistant to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $3,850.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a distinction average, and my faculty supervisor has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $3,850 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $1,650
• Final term tuition: $1,800
• Exam and lab fees: $165
• Textbooks and materials: $235
Thanks for being kind about this.

wishing you the best. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like
is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Walid.
Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. outstanding tuition balance comes first ($1,650) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid.
Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Thinking of Riyadh!
Rooting for you. Good luck with the exams, you've got this. I went through something like this 3 years ago and strangers helped me out. Love from Oakland.
Good luck, Walid. Gave what I could, wish it was more. I hope October is when things finally get easier.
