Lwazi J. Pillay
Brass band and classical teacher
- 🇿🇦 Soweto, Gauteng, South Africa
- Soweto Stonebridge Orchestra
- 1999 to 2017
- English
I play brass band and classical. I started in 1999 with a secondhand instrument and a lot of stubbornness.
I teach about 20 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I'm learning the guitar.
More about Lwazi
I wrote my first song when I was 22. It was terrible and I still love it.

What gifts mean to Lwazi: A gift would go toward new strings, repairs and music for my students.
