The electricity account is 2 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on May unless I pay $500. I have never been late before a reduction in hours. I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $160 first, which I don't have. I live with an elderly mother, and going through winter without electricity isn't safe. Without it we can't refrigerate insulin and food, or keep the house at a safe temperature. I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady. The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here. Where the $500 goes: • Water arrears: $250 • Reconnection and late fees: $85 • Down payment on a payment plan: $165 Every share and every dollar helps.
