Apostolos is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying an accounting degree at Patras Community College, and is one semester away from graduating. He has worked as a library assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $2,750.
The registrar has said Apostolos can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Apostolos has a distinction average, and an academic advisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Apostolos would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Apostolos isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Patras Community College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $2,750 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $650
• Final term tuition: $1,900
• Exam and lab fees: $45
• Textbooks and materials: $155
