Clean streets and rivers for Bandung: restoring Union Beach
Help us clean and replant Union Beach before the November planting window closes.
🇮🇩 Indonesia1,235 views
Union Beach has been used as an informal dump for years. This August, 93 neighbors turned up for a first cleanup, filling 53 bags in a single morning. Now we want to restore it for good.
We have a plan agreed with the city parks department, including native species selected by a local botanist.
The area floods more each year, and fish have returned for the first time in a decade after our first cleanup. Restoring it will protect homes and bring back shade.
All the labor is volunteered. We just need materials.
Funds buy saplings, gloves, bags, hire of a skip, and signage.
Where the $150 goes:
• Tools and protective gear: $35
• Signage and educational materials: $10
• Waste removal and skip hire: $105
Thanks for being kind about this.

Wishing you the best, Iwan. Shared this with my family. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. God bless
Sending good thoughts, Iwan. Hope you get there. I have a 11 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Love from Rohini.
Wishing you peace. Gave what I could, wish it was more. I'm in logistics myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. God bless.
