Water shut-off notice: help Sophie pay $750
Sophie is behind on water bills after April's medical emergency and needs $750 to avoid a shut-off.

The water account is 4 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on August unless I pay $750. I have never been late before April's medical emergency.
I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $140 first, which I don't have.
I live with an elderly mother, and going through the cold months without water isn't safe. Without it we can't refrigerate insulin and food, or keep the house at a safe temperature.
I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.
