Don't let Melanie's family go through winter without heating
Melanie is behind on heating bills after an unexpected car repair and needs $650 to avoid a shut-off.

The heating account is 2 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on October unless I pay $650. I have never been late before an unexpected car repair.
I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $160 first, which I don't have.
I live with a parent on oxygen therapy, and going through winter without heating isn't safe. We would also lose the ability to run the medical equipment at home.
I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.
