Volunteers needed to fix a leaking roof for Santiago in Buenos Aires
Could you spare two Saturdays to help repair a leaking roof in Buenos Aires?
🇦🇷 Buenos Aires, Argentina668 views
I'm a disabled veteran living in Buenos Aires. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 2 places, and the living room is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $800, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the tiles and battens. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for three or four volunteers who can help over two Saturdays.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is sturdy shoes, gloves and a willingness to work. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
Glad we found this place.

Hope things get better soon. I hope things turn around soon. After 17 years in construction I know how hard it's to ask for anything. All the best.
shared this with my family. Wish I lived closer to Corpus Christi so I could bring a meal. Greetings from Nsukka.
hope things get better soon. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend.
Wishing you peace, Santiago. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. It's not much but it's yours
So sorry you're going through this. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. All the best.

Sending love. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Sent it to 16 people at work. Blessings
It takes guts to ask. Well done. It's not much but it's yours. Thinking of Buenos Aires.
You're not alone, Santiago. Shared it with a few friends. Wish I lived closer to Bang Khen so I could bring a meal. Blessings!
