I'm caring for me, who's 90. After the death of his spouse Cameron can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Cameron desperately wants to stay at home. I work 50 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer. Cameron worked all of his life as a shopkeeper, and raised 5 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back. Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for eight months will make a huge difference. Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies. Where the $1,350 goes: • Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $250 • Medication and prescriptions: $600 • Hospital bed and mattress rental: $500 I hope life is good to you. - Cameron

  • Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Cameron

    • Sure. The biggest one is mobility aids and bathroom adaptations, $250. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Let me know if you want more detail.

  • Get well soon. Thinking of Fort Worth.
