I'm a night-shift nurse living in Konya. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 2 places, and the living room is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $460, which isn't something I can pay. The good news: a local hardware store has donated the corrugated iron sheets and timber. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for 4-6 people who can help over three weekday mornings. Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is work boots and a hat. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks. The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too. I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

  • Thinking of you. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Love from Cartagena.

    • Wishing you peace, Neslihan. It takes guts to ask. Well done.

      • Hang in there, Neslihan. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend.

        • Hope things get better soon, Neslihan. Hope you get there. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double.
