Feed 127 families each week at Open Hands Pantry in Coimbatore
Naresh runs a volunteer pantry feeding 127 families; this fund restocks shelves for the summer.

Since 2019, our volunteer team has run Open Hands Pantry every Friday from the back of a community center. We started with 29 families, and now we feed 127 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 53% this summer, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 14 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Coimbatore market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $200 goes:
• Refrigeration and electricity: $35
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $85
• Baby formula and diapers: $80
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

how is Naresh doing now?
sending good thoughts. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I'm in logistics myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you.
Hope things get better soon. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My husband and I read this together. Take care
Thinking of you and your family, Naresh. Hope this works out for you. I'm in teaching myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you!
