Therapy fund for Chai: 24 sessions with a licensed counselor
Chai is working through the death of both parents and needs help paying for 24 sessions with a licensed counselor.
🇹🇭 Chiang Mai, Chiang Mai, Thailand485 views
After the death of both parents, Chai has struggled with anxiety, sleep and panic attacks. The doctor has referred him to weekly cognitive behavioral therapy, but the public waiting list is 9 months, and private sessions at the Chiang Mai Counselling Collective cost $25 each.
Chai has been honest with his employer and taken some time off, but can't keep going without support.
Therapy has already helped a little in the sessions Chai could afford. The therapist recommends 24 weekly sessions, and consistent help will make the difference.
Asking for help with this has been the hardest part for Chai, and we're grateful for your kindness without judgment.
The money will be paid directly to the counselor's practice, with a session-by-session record.
Where the $450 goes:
• 24 therapy sessions: $400
• Psychiatric assessment: $35
• Workbook and resources: $15

So sorry you're going through this, Chanchai. Shared this with my family. After 17 years in retail I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
