A repair café workshop for Union Park: help our neighbors in Karachi
A community-led a repair café workshop at Union Park that will serve 427 neighbors.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 27 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Union Park, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $550.
It will serve about 427 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in February and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $550 goes:
• Materials: $410
• Permits and inspections: $45
• Safety equipment and signage: $25
• Tools hire and delivery: $70
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.
