Water shut-off notice: help Colette pay $500
Colette is behind on water bills after an unexpected car repair and needs $500 to avoid a shut-off.

The water account is 2 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on April unless I pay $500. I have never been late before an unexpected car repair.
I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $150 first, which I don't have.
I live with a disabled brother, and going through the rainy season without water isn't safe. Without it we can't refrigerate insulin and food, or keep the house at a safe temperature.
I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.
Where the $500 goes:
• Water arrears: $250
• Reconnection and late fees: $150
• Down payment on a payment plan: $100
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
