My family left Venezuela 7 months ago after our home was destroyed. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Málaga. We're a family of four and we're safe, but we arrived with very little. Our resettlement agency has provided 2 months of rent, and that support ends in January. I was a shopkeeper in Venezuela, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well. We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months. Funds are managed by the Málaga Welcome Table charity, a registered organization, which pays the landlord and suppliers on the family's behalf. Where the $2,550 goes: • Rent deposit and first month: $820 • Beds, table and basic furniture: $850 • Winter clothing and school supplies: $470 • Language classes and bus passes: $290 • Phone and internet for school and job search: $120 Thanks for being kind about this.
