The Pioneer community hall needs a community garden - Elena's neighborhood project

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 9 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Pioneer community hall, but no funding. We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $550. It will serve about 336 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $550 goes: • Safety equipment and signage: $85 • Tools hire and delivery: $70 • Materials: $395 Every share and every dollar helps.
