The Freedom vacant lot needs a playground - Vihaan's neighborhood project

We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a playground - we need $100 for materials.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 15 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Freedom vacant lot, but no funding. We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $100. It will serve about 572 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in January and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $100 goes: • Tools hire and delivery: $55 • Safety equipment and signage: $15 • Permits and inspections: $30 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
