The Bakr family fled Eritrea - help them rebuild in Paris
Help a family of 5 start their new life in Paris: furniture, rent deposit and language classes.

My family left Eritrea 10 months ago after our home was destroyed. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Paris. We're a family of seven and we're safe, but we arrived with very little.
Our resettlement agency has provided 4 months of rent, and that support ends in January.
I was a nurse in Eritrea, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well.
We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months.
Funds are managed by a local church-run settlement group, a registered organization, which pays the landlord and suppliers on the family's behalf.
Where the $2,300 goes:
• Language classes and bus passes: $470
• Rent deposit and first month: $1,100
• Phone and internet for school and job search: $220
• Beds, table and basic furniture: $510
With deep gratitude,
Jules

I hope things turn around soon. We're a small family in New York but we're thinking of you. God bless

Hang in there. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I hope January is when things finally get easier.
Hope things get better soon, Jules. Your post was clear and honest. My sister had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.
