The Acacia vacant lot needs a skate park - Akira's neighborhood project
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a skate park - we need $2,350 for materials.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 13 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Acacia vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $2,350.
It will serve about 468 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $2,350 goes:
• Materials: $1,900
• Tools hire and delivery: $370
• Permits and inspections: $80
