Da Nang
For six years I have run a fish stall in Da Nang. In March, floodwater took a freezer and scales. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me. Before that, my customers came every Thursday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 12 weeks. This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment. Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item. I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go. Where the $450 goes: • Replacing a freezer and scales: $165 • Initial stock: the first catch: $75 • Shop repairs and licensing: $105 • Working capital for the first month: $105 With deep gratitude, Vinh

Updates from Vinh

  1. Good news. Because of your gifts ($190 in total) I met with the supplier and confirmed the amounts. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

  2. 23% there. we've started the first stage. Thank you.

  3. Update from Da Nang: the plan for working capital for the first month is now scheduled. We're at 17% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.
