Makati
Rolando has been on dialysis for 1 years and until recently drove to Makati Regional Medical Center alone. After a foot amputation, Rolando can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 8 km each way. Rolando is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

  • Sending strength. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Thinking of Makati!

    • Thinking of you, Liza. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I hope October is when things finally get easier
