Rodrigo's hip replacement surgery can't wait - please help us cover the bill
Rodrigo needs hip replacement surgery at Saint Francis Hospital and the family is $7,900 short of the hospital's estimate.

In December I was diagnosed with an aortic valve defect. My surgeon at Saint Francis Hospital recommended hip replacement surgery, and I have been placed on the schedule for March. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $10,000, and after what my employer's plan will pay, I'm still $7,900 short.
Doctors at Saint Francis Hospital told me an aortic valve defect will get worse without hip replacement surgery. I work as a market vendor, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $10,000 is far beyond what I've.
Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a market vendor have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 5 weeks. I'll not be able to look after the children alone during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one.

what exactly is the $7,900 for?
The list at the bottom is the whole picture. post-operative medication is the biggest at $220. I'll keep the page updated.
