Following a long illness in the family, I fell 3 months behind on rent. Last Friday a 10-day notice to quit was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $2,850. My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by May, we must leave. I've 2 children at home.
