Start-up fund for Oneil: reopening a fish stall after a storm that collapsed the roof
Oneil lost a freezer and scales to a storm that collapsed the roof and needs $450 to reopen a fish stall and support the family.

For nine years I have run a fish stall in Kingston. In January, a storm that collapsed the roof took a freezer and scales. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Tuesday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 12 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $450 goes:
• Shop repairs and licensing: $185
• Working capital for the first month: $155
• Initial stock: the first catch: $110
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

you're not alone. Your post was clear and honest. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Blessings.
is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Oneil
Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. shop repairs and licensing comes first ($185) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Thanks for looking so closely.
thinking of you. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My mother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.
Thinking of you and your family, Oneil. Looking forward to the next update. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. God bless
