A covered market stall space: a volunteer-led effort in Bhaktapur
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a covered market stall space - we need $500 for materials.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 26 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Sycamore bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $190, and the remaining cost is $500.
It will serve about 429 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $500 goes:
• Materials: $360
• Permits and inspections: $35
• Safety equipment and signage: $35
• Tools hire and delivery: $70
