Start-up fund for Bola: reopening a barbershop after floodwater
A barbershop in Ikeja needs help replacing clippers, chairs and mirrors after floodwater.
🇳🇬 Nigeria88 views
For three years I have run a barbershop in Ikeja. In April, floodwater took clippers, chairs and mirrors. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Wednesday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 5 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $600 goes:
• Replacing clippers, chairs and mirrors: $370
• Initial stock: supplies: $40
• Shop repairs and licensing: $80
• Working capital for the first month: $110
Thanks for reading all this.

Sending love. Small businesses are the heart of Ikeja. Hope you're open again soon. I have a 17 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Love from Lowell.
Rooting for you, Bola. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Greetings from Bronx
Thinking of you, Bola. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. All the best.
