After a hip fracture that never healed properly, Crystal was cleared for septoplasty, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Crystal was diagnosed with a hip fracture that never healed properly in June. The surgeon at Kansas City Community Hospital recommended septoplasty, and She is scheduled for August. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $6,250, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $3,150 short. my daughter has been in and out of Kansas City Community Hospital since June. The doctors say a hip fracture that never healed properly will get worse without septoplasty. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $6,250 is more than we can find. While we wait, Crystal struggles with daily life and can't drive. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there. The recovery period is expected to take about 12 weeks. During that time Crystal won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing. I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section. Where the $3,150 goes: • Pre-operative tests and imaging: $350 • Physiotherapy sessions: $520 • Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $2,000 • Post-operative medication: $280 Thank you for reading my story.
