Carpenters wanted: an entrance ramp for Soledad
Help Soledad regain independence: a simple ramp build.
🇲🇽 Ciudad de México, Mexico312 views
Soledad has used a wheelchair since 2025, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Soledad can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate twelve hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Soledad's family will cook lunch for the team.
