School supplies and a laptop for Adhiambo in Dar es Salaam
Adhiambo won a place at Dar es Salaam Science Academy but the family can't afford the uniform, books and laptop required.
🇹🇿 Dar es Salaam, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania279 views
Adhiambo earned a place in Form 4 at Dar es Salaam Science Academy, and the family couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things She needs, including a laptop for the biology course, and a uniform.
The family has few resources; the list costs $150, which is more than they have.
Adhiambo loves biology and wants to become a nurse. A laptop will allow coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours.
She will take care of everything given and works very hard.
I'll buy the items from the school's approved supplier and post photos of everything.
Where the $150 goes:
• Laptop: $60
• School uniform and shoes: $20
• Textbooks and workbooks: $40
• Calculator, stationery and a school bag: $30

You're not alone, Mary. This could happen to any of us.
Stay strong. Education changes everything, hope you graduate with honors. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Blessings.
Praying for you, Mary. Education changes everything, hope you graduate with honors. Wish I lived closer to Cebu City so I could bring a meal
Best of luck, Mary. Good luck with the exams, you've got this. Put this on a community board in Polokwane this morning.
