Akari is facing Hodgkin lymphoma and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Akari was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma in January. The oncology team at Shinjuku Cancer Centre has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in April. She will be away from work for about 5 weeks.
Akari is 39, worked as a taxi driver until January, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Shinjuku Cancer Centre 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $2,900 goes:
• Scans and lab work: $1,300
• Transport to Shinjuku Cancer Centre: $760
• Household costs while unable to work: $840
