Tshepo is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a degree in civil engineering at Richards Bay University, and is one semester away from graduating. He has worked as a tutor to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $1,050. The registrar has said Tshepo can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Tshepo has a top-ten-percent average, and a professor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Tshepo would lose his place and scholarship eligibility. Tshepo isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Richards Bay University bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
