Samira wants to stay at home - help fund three months of care
Samira, 85, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $1,550 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for my mother, who's 85. After a stroke last December Samira can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Samira desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 50 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Samira worked all of her life as a seamstress, and raised 5 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for three months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $1,550 goes:
• Medication and prescriptions: $620
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $270
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $660
