Rodel's stage 2 breast cancer treatment fund

Rodel is facing stage 2 breast cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

In August I was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. My oncology team at Iloilo City Regional Medical Center has planned 12 rounds of treatment, and the first starts in October. I was told to expect about 10 weeks away from work. I never imagined I'd be writing something like this. I'm 54, I worked as a primary school teacher until August, and I have been the main earner for my household. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, transport to Iloilo City Regional Medical Center 2 times a week, and the income I have lost add up quickly. My family is doing everything they can, but we've already sold what we could and are borrowing for groceries. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $1,850 goes: • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $70 • Scans and lab work: $200 • Transport to Iloilo City Regional Medical Center: $190 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,390 Every share and every dollar helps. - Rodel
