Therapy fund for David: 24 sessions with a licensed counselor
After the loss of my brother, David has been on a waiting list for months - private therapy is the only option, and the cost is $300.

After the loss of my brother, I've struggled with anxiety, sleep and panic attacks. My doctor has referred me to weekly cognitive behavioral therapy, but the public waiting list is 6 months, and private sessions at a private practice in Mbale cost $10 each.
I have been honest with my employer and taken some time off, but I can't keep going without support.
Therapy has already helped a little in the sessions I could afford. My therapist recommends 24 weekly sessions, and I know that consistent help will make the difference.
Asking for help with this has been the hardest part, and I'm grateful for your kindness without judgment.
Funds cover only therapy sessions, and I'll share progress updates (not private details) if I'm comfortable.
Where the $300 goes:
• 24 therapy sessions: $240
• Psychiatric assessment: $55
• Workbook and resources: $5
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

So sorry you're going through this, David. Hope this works out for you
A colleague of mine might know someone for this in Eastern Region. I'll ask around and let you know
Can I help in a way that isn't money? I'm near Mbale.
Thank you. If you're in Mbale I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great.
I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Sent it to 17 people at work. Thinking of Mbale.
Thinking of you, David. Your post was clear and honest. I hope January is when things finally get easier.
Hope things get better soon. Shared this with my family. Greetings from Thane.
