Rides to dialysis three times a week for Laura in Detroit
Could you drive Laura to the Detroit Kidney Centre on Monday? A rota of 5 drivers is forming.
🇺🇸 48297, Detroit, Michigan, United States1,589 views
Laura has been on dialysis for 5 years and until recently drove to the Detroit Kidney Centre alone. After surgery on their hand, Laura can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week.
We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 30 km each way.
Laura is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food.
Please say which day works for you in the comments.

Take care, Daniela. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Greetings from Bakersfield.
