Rasika needs my motorbike repaired to get back to work in Colombo

Without my motorbike Rasika can't work; a $300 repair would put her back on the road.

I make my living with my motorbike. 8 weeks ago the engine head gasket failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $300. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my family of five. Before the breakdown I worked twelve hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal. Where the $300 goes: • engine head gasket replacement (parts): $210 • Labor charges: $50 • Road tax and insurance renewal: $25 • Towing and inspection: $15 Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure. - Rasika

  1. Small update. $71 so far, we've started the first stage.

  2. Wanted to say thank you properly. 19% funded and I met with the mechanic and confirmed the amounts.
