My school-run minibus: Ika's only way to earn a living
Ika drives for a living in Bekasi, and a broken transmission has stopped all income for 3 weeks.

I make my living with my school-run minibus. 3 weeks ago the transmission failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $250. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my 1 children. Before the breakdown I worked ten hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next four months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal.
Where the $250 goes:
• transmission replacement (parts): $190
• Labor charges: $30
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $20
• Towing and inspection: $10
With deep gratitude,
Ika

Good luck. This could happen to any of us. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Love from Epe
Take care, Ika. I hope things turn around soon. Thinking of Bekasi!
Stay strong, Ika. I hope things turn around soon. After 18 years in public service I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Blessings.
hope things get better soon, Ika. Hope this works out for you
Best of luck, Ika. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Blessings!
