Moving day volunteers: Dusit's family relocating in Chiang Mai

Moving day on Tuesday: we need four volunteers and ideally a van.

After mold in the old building became a health issue for my child, I found a safe, affordable apartment in Chiang Mai, and the lease starts on Tuesday. I have my elderly father, a few pieces of furniture and no money for movers. I'm hoping for four volunteers for about three hours. If you have a van or pickup, that would help enormously - I'll cover fuel. The old place is on the third floor with no elevator and the new place has an elevator. We'll do it in two trips. Lunch and cold drinks are on me. I know this is a lot to ask of strangers. I'd be happy to share references from my landlord and my employer. Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

  • reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. After 7 years in retail I know how hard it's to ask for anything.

Stay strong, Dusit. Looking forward to the next update. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Take care.

      • Take care. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My neighbor had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.
