Start-up fund for Lorena: reopening a small grocery stall after floodwater
Lorena has run a small grocery stall for three years; floodwater destroyed the equipment, and $1,250 will put it back on its feet.

For three years I have run a small grocery stall in Zapopan. In July, floodwater took a cold-storage unit. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Tuesday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 3 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $1,250 goes:
• Replacing a cold-storage unit: $770
• Initial stock: fresh produce: $200
• Shop repairs and licensing: $115
• Working capital for the first month: $165
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

wishing you peace, Lorena. Shared this with my family. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. God bless.
sending strength, Lorena. Shared it with a few friends. God bless
Sending good thoughts, Lorena. Hope you get there. All the best
wishing you the best. Hope the shop reopens soon. After 10 years in social work I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Thinking of Zapopan.
