Could you share an hour a week with Saoirse?
Saoirse lives alone and has no family nearby; a weekly hour of conversation would transform the week.

I'm writing for my neighbor Saoirse, who's 79. Saoirse lives alone in Dublin, and lost a son last year. The nearest family lives on the other side of the country.
Saoirse loves opera, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Thursday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
I hope life is good to you.

Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I have a 12 year old who wants to send good wishes too
Good luck, Maureen. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. All the best.
You're not alone, Maureen. Shared this with my family. I'll check back for the next update. Thinking of Dublin.
