Lillian needs a lift to London Regional Medical Center - can you help one day a week?

A rota of drivers to London Regional Medical Center would keep Lillian on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.

Lillian has been on dialysis for 2 years and until recently drove to London Regional Medical Center alone. After a foot amputation, Lillian can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 13 km each way. Lillian is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

  • hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. Wish I lived closer to Bakersfield so I could bring a meal. All the best

    • shared this with my family. We're a small family in Naivasha but we're thinking of you. Take care

      • Sending strength, Walter. Hope the doctors have good news.

        • hope it all works out. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Blessings.
