Roofing help wanted: Alyona's home in Kharkiv
The roof at Alyona's home is failing; materials are donated and we need hands.

I'm a retired bus driver living in Kharkiv. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 4 places, and the kids' bedroom is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $880, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the shingles and underlay. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for anyone handy who can help over two Saturdays.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is work boots and a hat. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

So sorry you're going through this, Alyona. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Blessings
Hope things get better soon, Alyona. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. God bless.
