My sister Julia has been accepted for treatment at San Jose University Hospital in San Jose, starting on Sunday in October. We live 234 km away in a village four hours away, and hotel costs would use up what we have set aside for the treatment itself. We're looking for a room, granny flat or short-term rental within about 30 minutes of the hospital, for 6 weeks. Two of us would stay: Julia and me. We can contribute $115 a week and cook for the household if you'd like. Julia will have some immune precautions, so a clean, smoke-free place would be ideal. A kitchen is a bonus. Thank you. I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

  • Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We're a small family in Jakarta but we're thinking of you. Thinking of San Jose!

    • This could happen to any of us. Wish I lived closer to Gazipur so I could bring a meal.

      • Hope it all works out. Wishing Julia a smooth procedure and a full recovery.

        • thanks for sharing this, Nicholas. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. Put this on a community board in Bonny this morning.
