Let's build a sensory garden for children with autism together in Tiruchirappalli
A community-led a sensory garden for children with autism at the old Sycamore bus depot that will serve 244 neighbors.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 22 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Sycamore bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $400.
It will serve about 244 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $400 goes:
• Safety equipment and signage: $70
• Tools hire and delivery: $45
• Materials: $285
